PhD in Information Retrivial and Text Mining, CH Fully Funded PhD Positions in Information Retrieval and Text Mining The Faculty of Informatics of the University of Lugano (USI) in Switzerland is actively expanding its research into information retrieval and text mining from news archives, news streams and blogs and is looking for versatile, highly motivated PhD candidates. The successful candidates will build on the Faculty's ongoing research directed by Prof. Fabio Crestani and will help define and explore this exciting area of research. Applicants must have a strong background in Computer Science and/or closely related areas (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering with strong emphasis on Computer Science) and excellent skills in both written and spoken English, as the working language of the Faculty is English.
